Multan Tandoori on George Street has published its Christmas Menu 2026, with a four-course festive dinner, Christmas Day tables and pre-ordered Christmas Day takeaways. The family-run Indian restaurant and takeaway, in Paisley since 1988, is one of the businesses in the Our Advertisers slider on paisley.org.uk. We've written before about the restaurant and its history, its menu and online ordering and its 2026 Scottish Curry Award, so this time we've looked at what's on for Christmas.

The four-course Christmas dinner

According to the Christmas Menu 2026 on Multan's website, the four-course Christmas dinner is £49.95 per person, or £29.95 for children under 10. It starts with poppadums, spiced onion and mango chutney, followed by a choice of starters including dal soup, pakoras, a tandoori combo of chicken tikka, chicken chaat and tandoori wings, a mixed savoury plate, prawn cocktail or a roast turkey starter.

For the main course there's a split between a Christmas main and a Christmas curry. The Christmas mains include roast breast of turkey, sirloin steak, roast tandoori chicken with Balti butter masala sauce, and breadcrumbed fish, all with festive vegetables and potatoes, as well as chicken or mixed tikka and Indian fajitas. The curry side covers Multan specials, kormas, bhoonas, masalas and specialities, made with chicken, chicken tikka, lamb, prawn, mixed vegetable, Quorn, vegan Quorn or paneer, with king prawn £5 extra. Rice, chapattis or nan come with it. Dessert is chocolate fudge cake, hot gulab jamun or vanilla ice cream.

Pre-orders and dietary needs

Some dishes, including the turkey, steak, roast tandoori chicken, fish, prawn cocktail and chocolate fudge cake, are marked as pre-order. The menu says pre-orders must be placed at least 14 days in advance. On the day you can swap a pre-ordered dish for anything on the full menu, but pre-order dishes can't be ordered on the day.

Dishes marked VE* on the menu can be made vegan, and the restaurant notes that vegetarian dishes are not automatically vegan. It asks diners to mention allergies before ordering, says its kitchen handles all major allergens and uses a shared fryer, and publishes an allergen list.

Christmas Day

The menu says Christmas Day tables run from 1pm, with last bookings at 8pm and closing at 10pm. Sittings are around two hours, with longer stays possible if arranged in advance. A £10 per person deposit is needed to secure a time, and it comes off the final bill. Tables can be booked through the booking page on the website.

If you'd rather eat at home, Christmas Day delivery and collection orders must be pre-ordered.

Gift cards and online offers

Multan sells gift cards online or in the restaurant, sent by email or as a printed card posted first class. Its offers page currently lists a 10% discount on online delivery orders and on online collection orders, excluding set meals, and 15% off online orders for NHS staff, all shown as valid until 31 March 2027. Check the offers page for the codes and terms before ordering.

Opening times

The official website lists Monday to Thursday and Sunday, 3pm to 11pm, and Friday and Saturday, 3pm to midnight, and the Christmas menu says the restaurant is open seven days over the festive season. Holiday hours can change, so confirm on paisleymultan.co.uk or by phone before you go.
