If you're after a cooked breakfast in Paisley this weekend, Doris Coffee House on Causeyside Street does a full Scottish, a vegetarian version, breakfast rolls, pancakes and a build-your-own breakfast for children, alongside its Polish dishes. The café, which trades on Facebook as Doris Polskie Bistro, is one of the businesses in the Our Advertisers slider on paisley.org.uk. We've written before about the café itself, its Polish home cooking and ordering and a first-time visitor’s verdict and the bakery counter, so this time we've looked at the breakfast menu.

The full Scottish

The café's Just Eat menu lists a Full Scottish Breakfast at £10.99: square and link sausage, bacon, black pudding, potato scone, mushrooms, half a tomato, baked beans, an egg done fried, poached or scrambled, a slice of toast, and tea or coffee. The photo at the top of this article is a full cooked breakfast the café posted on its own Facebook page in August.

Vegetarian, avocado and lighter options

The same menu lists a Vegetarian Breakfast at £9.50, with vegetarian sausage, hash brown, potato scone, mushrooms, half a tomato, baked beans, an egg, toast and tea or coffee. There's also avocado and egg toast at £6.50 (toasted bloomer bread, smashed avocado, fried or scrambled eggs and a balsamic glaze), and three pancakes with butter and a choice of jam, Nutella, marmalade or honey for £4.50.

Rolls and children's breakfasts

Breakfast rolls start from £3, on a soft or crispy roll with one, two or three fillings from square sausage, link sausage, bacon, black pudding, potato scone, hash brown and egg. For children, a create-your-own breakfast starts from £6.50: pick any five items from the breakfast list, with a glass of apple or orange juice as one of the options. A smaller children's portion of two pancakes is £3.

A Polish option too

If you'd rather go Polish, the menu's highlighted dish is placki ziemniaczane z sosem pieczarkowym, potato pancakes with mushroom sauce, at £11. The menu also has sections for wraps and burgers (served with chips and coleslaw), salads, a kids' menu, 18oz milkshakes, cakes and coffees.

Prices and ordering

The prices above are the ones shown on Just Eat when we checked on 31 October 2026. Delivery app prices can differ from the café counter, so ask in the café if you're eating in. On Just Eat the listing showed no minimum order and a £0.99 delivery fee, plus a service fee, and a 5-star rating from 20 reviews. You can also phone the café on 07926 904764.

Opening times: check before you go

Listings for the café's hours have disagreed over the past few months, and the café has posted one-off notices for late openings and early closes. Check the Facebook page or phone 07926 904764 before making a special trip for breakfast.

Food hygiene

On the Food Standards Agency's Scottish register, Doris Coffee House holds a Pass under the Food Hygiene Information Scheme. You can check the current rating on the FSA website.
