Hundreds of people are expected to turn out across Renfrewshire on Remembrance Sunday (8 November) as parades and services are held in towns and villages to honour those who lost their lives in war.
Parades begin from 9.45am, with a two-minute silence at 11am, and everyone is welcome to come along and pay their respects.
Parade times
Here's when each parade is due to start and roughly when it will finish:
- Elderslie: 9.45am to 10.15am
- Houston: 10am to 10.30am
- Paisley: 10.45am to 11.30am
- Lochwinnoch: 10.45am to 11.15am
- Johnstone: 10.45am to 11.15am
- Renfrew: 10.50am to 11.15am
- Howwood: 12 noon to 12.30pm
- Kilbarchan: 12 noon to 12.15pm
- Bridge of Weir: 3pm to 3.15pm
Finish times are approximate, so it's worth arriving a little early if you want a good spot, and allowing for some disruption to traffic around the parade routes while they take place.
In Renfrew, repairs to the town's cenotaph are being carried out ahead of the day. You can read more about that work here.
