Whats on December 1st onwards

Tonight, Combat Rock were meant to be playing at The Bungalow tonight but sadly, owing to a bereavement of a family member of the band they have had to cancel. End of the Century have stepped in at the last minute to play. The gig is free, and doors are at 7pm.

Tonight, Combat Rock were meant to be playing at The Bungalow tonight but sadly, owing to a bereavement of a family member of the band they have had to cancel. End of the Century have stepped in at the last minute to play. The gig is free, and doors are at 7pm.

Mod band Bits n Pieces are back at the Bungalow tomorrow afternoon and judging by the last time they played there it will be a busy one again. Doors are at 1pm and it is free entry.

Tomorrow night kicks off the Christmas Party Season and first up for the December shows are The Reclaimers who are the UK’s No 1 Tribute Show to Scottish Music. The band play the best and well-loved songs of Scotland, performed by two of Scotland’s best entertainers. On Sunday there is a kid’s ceilidh with Gordon McCulloch from 1pm till 3pm then after that the stage is open to for kids showcase starring up and coming talented young people till 6pm. This is a pop in free event for all the family.

The Bungalow Introducing Night on Thursday welcomes Not Now Norman, Skafandr and Room 9 for a night filled with alternative rock music. Not Now Norman deliver hard rock with a strong message in every track. Taylor-Grace commands the front, belting her lungs out to Zander Browns relentless riffs. Having disabilities since childhood, Taylor-Grace took the decision to turn her pain into power and to the stage. 

Fiercely independent – Not Now Norman are at the helm of everything, from their sound to their image. Over the years since their formation, they’ve interacted daily with their fans – creating a strong, loyal fanbase that grows by the day. In Support is Skafander and Room 9 who are playing their debut gig. Tickets £5/3 student. Doors 7pm

Scotland’s oldest tribute to Philip Lynott and Thin Lizzy Black Rose are at Rocknrollas tonight. The band have setlist full of Lizzy’s back catalogue including Jailbreak, The Boy’s are Back in Town and Whisky in the Jar. Doors are 7pm.

It’s Blockbustaz Glam Rock night tomorrow night. Boab Williamson of Rocknrollas said “It’s Christmas party time and we have the perfect start by bringing you The Blockbustarz Live 70s Glam Rock Show. It is a night of cheesy Christmas hits. We promise you one hell of a night” Doors are at 7pm. On Sunday it is Hitsville PA1from 2pm.

The Old Swan have Headhunters tonight from 7pm and tomorrow in the coveted ‘Shopper’s Slot’ from 4pm it is Mojo Filter. Clyde are in their usual spot on Monday from 6pm and on Wednesday Duncan McLellan will be playing from 4pm. Lee James will be taking you through the decades with his superb mix of songs and laughter from 3pm.

Tonight, down at The Keg, Old Bohemia who are Otis ‘n’ Marie and one of their regular favourites will be playing from 9pm. Why don’t you check out why they get excited about Old Bohemia yourself and join in the fun. Tomorrow night popular covers band Gordon’s Alive will be kicking off at 9pm. 

Looks like a cracking weekend at The Cave and it starts with Mod Band The M65’s tonight from 8pm. Tomorrow is a double header starting with Blackout at 6pm followed by Wildcard from 9pm. On Sunday Rumours are on stage from 6pm.

Two bands are at The Anchor this weekend. Tomorrow Best Bad Influence will be playing from 4.30pm and on Sunday Bad Boy Boogie start at 4.30pm. Stephen Henry will be playing at Tannahill’s tonight after the Christmas raffle draw at 7pm. All the funds raised will be given to Renfrewshire toy bank. Wreckless are at Kennedy’s on Sunday from3pm.

This week’s Open Mic sessions are Abbey Bar on Monday with Dunky Hunter at 8pm, Jason Flood is the host at Gantry on Tuesday from 9pm; Johnny Barr will be at The Keg on Wednesday from 8.30pm.
