Davey Pattison has returned to his homeland after 40 years of performing at the top-level Stateside and on World tours as the vocal powerhouse fronting Gamma, Ronnie Montrose, The Robin Trower Band and recording two highly successful albums with German guitar ace Michael Schenker.
Davey served his apprenticeship in Blues, R&B and Soul in Glasgow’s sixties dance-hall scene and treaded the same boards as future members of Average White Band, Stone The Crows, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band and others in renowned venues like Picasso, Electric Gardens and Maryland. He was at the forefront of the burgeoning Pub – Rock scene with the highly respected Findo Gask who narrowly missed the big – time after being spotted and recorded by Gerry Rafferty’s producer the late Hugh Murphy.

Davey’s big break arrived when the legendary Bill Graham was tipped off by Bill Lordan and the late James Dewar that Davey was the ideal man to front the new band Gamma for his client Ronnie Montrose. Davey accepted and successful stadium and arena tours followed and played alongside   AC/DC, Santana, ZZ Top, Journey, Toto, Foreigner among others. Doors are 7pm. The gig is virtually sold out but you might get a hand back ticket.

 The Bungalow welcomes back Tom Urie and his piano jukebox tomorrow afternoon. You can pay on entry from 1pm. Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) and his band The Karpets with guests The Social and MrDb in support. Doors are at 7pm.

Bungalaff 3 comedy night has a fantastic line-up of comedians hosted by Richie McMahon. The line up looks like this: Headliner Dee Maxwell with Mick Murphy, Mikey Motion, Cubby, Tattoo Dave, Steven Youngson and Sarah-Jane Judge. Doors are at 7pm and you can pay on entry.

Thursday Introducing Nights are excited to welcome The Zebecks, Kloans and Ecko for a night filled with fun indie tunes. Tickets £5/3 Students. Doors 7pm.

Rocknrollas have a great afternoon happening on Sunday. Little Fix are the UK’s most accurate tribute to girl super group Little Mix. The band recently announced their new three piece line up to echo the original bands new trio status. The show includes all of the bands biggest party hits with stunning powerful vocals and sassy choreography to match! Book this award winning Little Mix tribute to guarantee your venue or event with a night they won’t forget. Doors are at 2pm and you can pay on entry.

The Old Swan have Fire In tonight from 7pm, Proposal at 4pm tomorrow, Northern Soul Sunday at 3pm, Monday Clyde are in their usual slot at 6pm, Wednesday Duncan McLellan starts at 4pm, and on Thursday Lee James will be performing some songs from the decades.

Performing live music in pubs for over 20 years in Glasgow and surrounding areas and now tonight at The Keg Stephen Donnelly brings together a mix of indie / rock and pop cover songs from days gone by to more modern artists. From Oasis to Stereophonic’s and Manic Street Preachers, The Stone Roses and many more. He starts at 9pm and at the same time tomorrow night is Absolute Unit.

Tomorrow’s double bill at The Cave is Wreckless at 6pm then Gordon’s Alive at 9pm. On Sundays the very talented guitarist Jim Keilt who is the host of the legendary ‘Blues Jam’ from 6pm. Kennedy’s have North to Abilene from 3pm and The Anchor have a live band session from 4.30pm.

This week’s open mics are: Local singer-song writer Stephen Hendry at Tannahill’s on Monday from 8pm. The Abbey Bar on Monday with Dunky Hunter at 8pm, Jason Flood is the host at Gantry on Tuesday from 9pm; Johnny Barr will be at The Keg on Wednesday from 8.30pm. The monthly Open Mic and Jam session at The Anchor starts at 8pm and your host is Andy Lindsay. Pop in and enjoy the performances or join in. Have a great week and Keep Music Live.
