Justin Curriepic

The former Del Amitri frontman will perform material from a back catalogue stretching back more than 30 years in a unique collaboration with the renowned RSNO. The concert will take place in front of a capacity crowd at Paisley Abbey on Monday 17 October.

RSNO pic 1Tickets are still available for the dozens of other events which will take place during the festival, which runs at venues across Paisley from 14 – 22 October. This year’s line-up for The Spree is the best yet, with the celebration of culture being a key part of the Paisley 2021 bid for the town to be named UK City of Culture.

With a varied bill of music, comedy and more, The Spree has become a popular and highly regarded fixture on Scotland’s cultural calendar. The festival kicks-off on Friday 14 October, with a gig by Admiral Fallow at Paisley Town Hall and will be brought to a close on Saturday 22, by Skerryvore and Treacherous Orchestra at the same venue.

The Spree also offers a number of free shows and events.

Details about all events and artists performing during The Spree can be found on its dedicated website. Tickets can be booked via the Renfrewshire Leisure box office, Tickets Scotland and Ticketweb.

The Paisley 2021 bid aims to transform the town and Renfrewshire’s future by using its unique cultural and heritage offering as the home of the Paisley Pattern and one-time centre of the global textile industry.

Bids are expected to be lodged with the UK Government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport in Spring 2017.
