When it comes to buying used cars, you have a lot more to think about simply than the price-tag. Fuel is a major expense, and those that are on a tight budget will want to keep costs down by finding an economical automobile. Finding a used car which sips fuel as opposed to guzzling it can have a huge impact on how much money you spend, plus you will find these vehicles are better for the environment.

If you are looking for a used car with great fuel economy, the following are highly worth looking at:

Ford Kuga

The Ford Kuga is an attractive option for those looking for an affordable SUV. As a Ford, you know that you are getting a reliable and well-built automobile, plus the Kuga has a great deal of interior space which makes it appealing for families. It is one of the more affordable ways to enter the SUV market and can be found for affordable prices second-hand at places like AA Cars. It is also efficient and cheap to run, with the 1.5-litre diesel engine returning 64.2mpg with emissions of 115g/km – impressive stats for an SUV.

Fiat Panda

The Fiat Panda is a popular city car because it is so affordable to buy and run, but also because it is very characterful and practical. The Panda has a cool style which will appeal to young drivers and it is also great fun to drive with responsive handling and good ride comfort. One of its main attributes is its efficiency, which means that it will not cost a fortune to run. There are a range of engines available, but the 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel is the frontrunner in this regard with claimed returns of 72.4 mpg.

Smart Fortwo

The tiny Smart ForTwo is the perfect car for those that live and/or work in the city because it is so compact – you can even park it at 90 degrees to the curb. It is cheap to buy and run because of its tiny size, which makes it a popular choice with budget-conscious motorists. The 70bhp non-turbo Smart is capable of 68.9 mpg, so there are to make with this ca huge savings r.

Good fuel economy has a huge impact on finances because fuel is so expensive. Those that are in the market for a used car and want an economical automobile should seriously consider any of the above three, which are both cheap to buy and run.
