Many people dream of winning the lottery (on platforms like 188loto) and fantasize about what they will do with the money if they are lucky enough to get a huge prize. It may seem like a far-fetched idea, but the truth is, each and every year, many lucky winners’ dreams come true when they hit the lottery jackpot.

Millions of people all over the world take their chances by buying a lot of tickets. Online lottery is now also gaining a huge following and is expected to grow more in the coming years. As a result, many articles and books have been written about how to win.  There is even software that was developed that can supposedly increase your chances of winning. 188 loto has even come up with a list of the best online lottery platforms to choose from.

While there is really no way to predict the numbers that will be drawn because they are completely random, there are some useful tips to help you win. Here are three sure-fire ways to increase your chances of winning a lottery:

  • Choose to play the right games, the ones with better odds.

The first thing you should remember about lotteries is that there are certain lotteries that are easier to win than others. Research well and identify the best lotteries from all over the world. Make sure that you read the odds and that you spend your money buying lottery tickets that ensure a higher chance of winning. As a general rule, national lotteries have a broader entry pool and thus harder to win than smaller, regional lotteries. Also, do not discount scratch-off games.  Granted, they do have smaller prizes but higher chances of winning.

  • Take note of certain numbers that are drawn more times than others.
Statisticians have done a lot of probability computations and have identified numbers that are deemed “luckier” than others because they do come up more often than others in Lotto Draw. However, experts tell us that there really is no mathematical significance about these “lucky numbers.” The National Lottery has identified the top seven numbers that were most frequently drawn since their launch in 1994. These numbers are 23, 40, 44, 38, 30, and 33. In Australian Powerball, the most frequently drawn numbers for the main draw are 5, 13, 22, 32, and 31.  In different lotteries around the world, there are really certain numbers that appear more often than others.

  • Set-up or join a syndicate.
There are verified reports that tell us that 20% of all jackpots are won by syndicates. In fact, most of the biggest jackpots have been won by syndicates who purchase their group tickets in bulk. A lottery syndicate is, therefore, known to improve winning odds.  A lottery syndicate is defined as a group of players – usually family members, colleagues, or mates – who purchase tickets together. The members are usually asked to contribute a small amount each week, pooling their money to increase their chances of winning the jackpot. This goes back to the principle of the more tickets you buy, the more chances you have of winning. The bottom line is that when you buy more tickets, you increase your winning odds. The agreement is that the winning jackpot will be shared with everyone who joined the syndicate. The key to running a successful syndicate that protects all its participants is to agree on a lottery pool contract that everyone must sign. You also must assign a group manager who should keep each syndicate member’s tickets in a safe, accessible place. Just recently, a family syndicate from County Tipperary in Ireland won the Lotto Plus 1 top prize, worth €500,000.
