Sma’ Shot 40th Birthday Celebration Comes to Browns Lane, Paisley
Paisley is getting ready for a fantastic community celebration as Sma’ Shot Day marks its 40th birthday with a special event in the heart of Browns Lane.
Taking place on Saturday 4th July 2026 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm, the free event promises an evening packed with live entertainment, local music, culture, and community spirit — all celebrating one of Paisley’s most loved traditions.
The event will be held in Browns Lane, Paisley, where visitors can enjoy a lively atmosphere filled with entertainment and local talent. Best of all, there are no tickets required — organisers are encouraging everyone to simply come along and enjoy the celebrations.

Evening Entertainment Line-Up
4:00pm – Ceilidh Music with Gary Blair
The celebrations begin with live ceilidh music from Gary Blair to get the atmosphere started with traditional Scottish sounds.
5:15pm – Gavin Patterson Skiffle Band
Featuring Danny Kyle and other local favourites, the Gavin Patterson Skiffle Band will perform a special set celebrating Paisley’s musical heritage.
6:30pm – The Fogartys Trad Session
Visitors can enjoy a lively trad session with talented local musicians bringing energy and community spirit to Browns Lane.
7:45pm – 80’s DJ Set
The evening rounds off with an 80’s DJ set to keep the party going right through until 9:00pm.
A Celebration of Paisley’s Heritage
The event celebrates 40 years of creativity, community, and connection surrounding Sma’ Shot Day — one of Paisley’s most important cultural traditions.
