A proud piece of Renfrewshire's musical heritage reached a major milestone recently as Renfrew Burgh Band celebrated 115 years of making music in the local community.

The anniversary was marked in style with a special day featuring rehearsals and workshop sessions led by two distinguished guest musicians — Mark Wilkinson from Foden's Band and Adams Artist Gary Curtin. The day concluded with a concert at Renfrew Town Hall that drew a capacity crowd.
Both guest principals delivered outstanding solo performances that helped create a truly memorable evening for everyone in attendance.

The celebration capped off a particularly active period for the band, which had also performed at Renfrew Gala Day and Glasgow Airport while continuing fundraising efforts to secure its future.
Following a well-deserved summer break, the band will resume rehearsals later this month as they prepare for the upcoming contesting season.
