Overview

ReMode is a not-for-profit community interest company established in November 2017. Our purpose is to work with our communities to share creative solutions to the environmental impacts of the fashion and textiles industry. We run an educational outreach programme, see https://remodeyouth.org for information on our past projects. Our current format as an organisation is focused on expanding our learning and co-research communities. 

Funding

We have funding in place to deliver Through the Mill – Stories of Resilience and Renewal between June 2024 and the end of May 2025. 

Person Specification

We are looking for an outgoing individual who can present themselves confidently and articulately in public facing situations to present and promote the organisation. The ideal candidate will be creative with strong design and garment construction skills. They will have experience of running hands-on creative workshops be organised and methodical and have excellent interpersonal skills. Understanding of and engagement with both youth and environmental issues will be essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The ReMotivator Youth Support Worker will be line managed by and accountable to the Project Manager and ReMode Renfrewshire CIC Board of Directors. Principal duties will include:

  • Recruitment of participants.
  • Communication of the project’s environmental and heritage aims.
  • Coordination and delivery of a programme of activities, workshops, and events.
  • Personal delivery of workshops where required.
  • Delivery of training opportunities for our young participants.
  • Participating in building local partnership work.
  • Generation of regular documentation of workshops and events.
  • Maintenance of appropriate records of attendance, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Contribution to written reports for funders and the board of Directors as required.
