A new dining spot has arrived in Paisley town centre, offering residents a flavourful journey across continents without leaving Wellmeadow Street.

The Pot African Caribbean Restaurant welcomed its first customers two months ago at 36A Wellmeadow Street. The venture is the work of Richard and Akosua, a married couple who moved to Scotland from Ghana in 2016 and selected Paisley as the perfect location for their debut restaurant.

Akosua leads the kitchen, drawing on her professional experience cooking in Italy where she perfected recipes blending African, Caribbean and Italian influences. The menu centres on wholesome, budget-friendly meals prepared with organic ingredients.

Diners with dietary requirements will find plenty to enjoy, as Akosua's cooking methods mean many dishes naturally suit gluten-free diets, while vegetarian and vegan options feature prominently.

The restaurant also provides catering services for private functions and celebrations. Visit them at 36A Wellmeadow Street to sample what they have to offer.
