Miller Homes’ £10k Community Fund launches for 2023

Good causes across the West of Scotland invited to apply

Scotland’s leading homebuilder, Miller Homes, is calling on local projects, charities and causes across the West of Scotland to apply for its next round of community funding, which will see £10,000 distributed among those in need near its 10 developments, including Hawkhead, located in Paisley.

With community at its heart, Miller Homes Scotland West hopes to better local neighbourhoods across the West of Scotland with its Community Fund programme.

Designed to make a difference, the homebuilder is looking for any organisations in Paisley who help support the local community to apply. Whether it’s food banks in need of supplies, local sports groups looking for new equipment or kit, allotment groups hoping to grow produce for the community, Miller Homes wants to support the amazing work going on.

Last year, the homebuilder supported 10 groups in Scotland West, with Dynamite Gymnastics Club in Clydebank, Twist and Hit Cheerleaders in Paisley and Paisley Rugby Club among the worthy causes who received funding. Dynamite Gymnastics Club received £500 from Miller Homes Scotland West to help its attendees aged 16 who assist with recreational classes get through their Level 1 UKCC coaching course. Twist and Hit Cheerleaders received a £500 funding boost to purchase ramps and additional aids to make its premises more accessible to those with physical impairments. In addition to this, Paisley Rugby Club received a £500 funding boost to help supply the team with brand-new custom strips for the season.

Louise Caldwell, Sales Director for Miller Homes Scotland West reflects on the success of last year’s funding and warmly welcomes groups to get involved in the next round of support, she said: “It’s been heartening to be part of this experience and a pleasure to support so many groups at the core of our local communities. A huge thanks to everyone who participated last year.

“As we embark on our second round of funding, we hope to support even more members of our communities across the West of Scotland and encourage all groups, no matter their size, to get in touch.”

Each of Miller Homes’ 10 regional offices across the UK will have its own £10,000 fund, which combined will contribute £100,000 to community initiatives across the country every year.

Applications for Community Fund will close on Wednesday 3 May, with a minimum of £250 and a maximum of £2,000 awarded.
