Below are comments from Mhairi Black MP on the announcement made today that TSB will be closing branches in Renfrewshire.
Mhairi Black MP said:
“I am deeply disturbed to learn yet another bank will be closing branches in Renfrewshire.
“TSB have announced that they will be closing their Neilston Road branch.
“This is another hit on the people of Paisley who are finding that banking is becoming more and more inaccessible.
“Not everyone has access to phone banking or online banking but it seems that these institutions do not care.
“The announced closure of the Beith branch, while not in my constituency, will have a direct effect on my constituents in Lochwinnoch who will now have to travel an additional three miles to Johnstone to have branch access.”
