A beloved Lochwinnoch venue has scooped a prestigious national award celebrating its remarkable contribution to the local community.
The Three Churches, also known as the Garthland Arms, has been named Community Pub of the Year 2026 by Admiral Taverns, which operates more than 980 pubs nationwide.
The accolade recognises the pub's exceptional charity work, events and fundraising efforts. Since 2019, owner Susan Busby and her team have raised an impressive £56,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust, contributing to a combined total of £77,000 for local charities and organisations. This year's music festival alone brought in £14,200.
Susan said the recognition reflects the team's dedication to creating a welcoming space for families and the wider community. The award includes £500 to donate to a charity of Susan's choice — she has selected Alzheimer Scotland.
The Three Churches is located at 5 Church Street, Lochwinnoch, PA12 4AD. For more information, call 07540 420798.
