A well-loved Lochwinnoch watering hole has scooped a prestigious national award for its outstanding work in the community.
The Three Churches on Church Street has been named Community Pub of the Year 2026 by Admiral Taverns, beating nearly 1,000 other pubs across the UK to claim the honour.
Owner Susan Busby and her dedicated team earned the recognition through their tireless charity work, events and fundraising efforts. Since 2019, the pub has raised an impressive £56,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust, with total contributions to local charities and organisations reaching £77,000. This year's music festival alone brought in £14,200.
Susan said the team has worked hard to create a safe, welcoming space for families and children in the village. She credited her staff for giving their all and embracing Lochwinnoch's family-friendly spirit.
As part of the award, Susan received £500 to donate to a charity of her choice. She has selected Alzheimer Scotland to benefit from the prize money.
