Today is St Patrick’s Day and The Bungalow have Fuaim an Irish and Scottish folk duo in tonight. If you’ve not got any plans for St Patrick’s Day look no further than this class two-piece folk band. You can get tickets on the door from 7pm. 

Funk, Soul and Motown band Smokin’ at Tiffany’s are playing The Bungalow for the first time tomorrow afternoon. It is a free gig and if you want a seat, get in early. Doors open at 1pm. 

The Doors Rising are a Doors Tribute band who capture the sound, feel and experience of the psychedelic 60s. Re-live the music of The Doors recreated with stunning accuracy, using authentic instruments by true fans with an ear for the details. Expect to dance your feet off and sing along to all the classics including Light My Fire, Riders on The Storm, Break On Through (plus a few surprises too!) You can get tickets on the door tomorrow night from 7pm.

If you are looking for Mother’s Day ideas this Sunday. Why don’t you invite your Mum to The Bungalow and treat your mum to a Big Band Experience with The Byres Road Big Band. Its free entry so that leaves you enough in your pocket for a nice bottle of prosecco. Doors are 1pm. 

Charity fundraisers Legacy Comps have a live draw event and a performance from Elderslie duo King of Birds on Wednesday. Get yourself down and support Tony Fitzpatrick (St Mirren legend) and Ged McCabe who are behind the scheme. Tony said: “The main reason for me starting Legacy Comps was to back to youth sports clubs, charities, and general good causes” The free entry event will also be livestreamed by on Facebook Live. Doors are 7pm.

The Bungalow Introducing Night on Thursday will feature Ben Walker, Catriona and The Chosen Lonely to the stage for a night full of original material by these talented singer songwriters. Doors are 7pm and tickets are available at £5 and £3 for students.

The Cave have live action tomorrow and Cherry Red kicks it off at 6pm and later at 9pm with Sideshow. Emergency Exit will be playing from 6pm on Sunday. The Old Swan have some St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans in the shape of Clyde from 4pm and Proposal at 8pm. Mother’s Day entertainment at The Swan on Sunday is Lee James from 1pm and then Northern Soul dancers take to the floor at 3pm and Keeperlit at 6pm. Clyde are in their usual slot at 6pm on Monday, Lee James will be singing and dishing out his right in your face comedy (don’t sit at the front) on Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm. Duncan McLellan will start at 4pm on Wednesday. 

Hippy

Hippy are playing at Rocknrollas tonight. The band formed in mid-2019 and by October that year their first single, ‘Aries Girl’, was released followed up by subsequent singles ‘Feelgood’, ‘Junkyard Babies’ and ‘Volunteer’. Their debut album Behind Every Song Is a Story was released to critical acclaim in October 2020. Hippy released their second album Falling in Love with Being Alive in August 2021 which received critical acclaim. Doors are 7.30pm and support is from Hazy Sundays and The Insomniacs. 

Treat your mother, wife, or partner to a fantastic day of live music brought to you by Feeva and rustic food. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and allow us to entertain you all. Rocknrolla’s are delighted to offer our first Mother’s Day event. Check out Rocknrollas Facebook page for packages. 

The Bad Boys are back with their rock show to blow you away at The Keg tonight and tomorrow night Jamie Angus will be on stage to entertain you. Both gigs start at 9pm. 

Moonrocks are playing at Kennedys on Sunday from 3pm and later across at The Anchor it is Jenni and the Blockheads from 4.30pm.

Open Mic nights are: The Abbey at 8pm on Monday, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday and The Keg starts at 8.30pm.
