Legendary bands Foreigner and Journey are giants of AOR and Classic Rock, attracting
huge audiences as live acts since forming in the 1970’s. The two bands have achieved
massive commercial and critical success, and both sold more than 80 million albums,
ensuring that they’ve never been victims of trends or passing fashions, and even their
earliest hits are still being played on radio shows worldwide every day. Sadly, for those in the UK, their shows over here have been few and far between.

Thankfully, however, the next best thing is in town tonight at The Bungalow in the shape of the award-winning band A
Foreigners Journey.
They have toured throughout the UK and Europe for the last 10 years, headlined festivals
and played to packed venues. Tickets on the door from 7pm.
The Divas Soul Band are back again for another afternoon of Motown and Soul. This will be
very busy, so get in early. Free entry from 1pm.
Laid the James tribute band make a welcome return to The Bungalow. The band have
already booked to play several festivals this summer, so this is your chance to check out the
band in a local venue while you have the chance. With a back catalogue stretching back
over 30 years, Laid have no shortage of material in which to impress their audience. Tickets
on the door from 7pm.
On Tuesday it’s the Bungalow Jam Open Stage! The Jam House Band will be there to
entertain and help out any performers. All backline and drumkit provided just bring your
instruments. Starts at 7pm.
KAPOWell Events present Crash Course Cabaret on Wednesday. This is an open mic night
for fresh and seasoned performers to test out material. See performances from some of
Scotland’s up and coming talent in Comedy – including sets from Jaki Logan, Will Wilson,
Chris Mitchell Lay, and Katie Powell – plus music, drag, and more. Get along to The
Bungalow for a fun and relaxed night with laughter guaranteed. Tickets on the door from
7pm.
The Bungalow Introducing Night features The Noise Club, Telekinephews and Ross and the
Reservations to the stage on Thursday. Doors 7pm. Tickets £5/3 student.
There will be live action at The Cave tomorrow at 5pm and 8pm, check venue for details. On
Sunday at 6pm it is the mighty Nightfly.
On Sunday from 3pm, Wildcard will be at Kennedys and over at The Inn on the Corner
Casper and Co will be playing from 4.30pm.
Andrew O’Donnell is playing tonight at The Keg from 9pm Nova Baby One of the hottest
bands to come out of Glasgow return to The Keg. They kick off at 9pm. The Keg Sessions
continue Thursday with a lineup of new emerging original talent. The Keg Sessions started
last year, and it is a night to check out up and coming or original artists. It’s free to attend
and onstage is two different acts each week. First band on at 9pm.
They have been under the radar for me, but The Tile contacted me to tell me about their live
acts they have on. On Sunday it is the very popular Robbie Dale, and he starts at 4pm and
on Thursday one of Scotland’s top soul music singing Artiste’s Robert McIntosh Ferrier will
be performing from 4pm. Robert has supported Womack & Womack and The Blues Band. If
you’re not dancing at the start of the afternoon, you will be at the end.

Sideshow are playing at The Old Swan tomorrow from 4pm. Crawford Carlyle will be
performing on Monday at 4pm, Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm it is Lee James, Duncan
McLellan is in his usual slot at 4pm on Wednesday.
Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday
at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm and The Keg on
Wednesday at 8.30pm.
