The festive season kicked off in impressive style this weekend, as the St. Vincent’s Hospice Ladies Lunch raised an incredible £24,000 for their charity.

The event was hosted by Steve McKenna and featured live entertainment from girl group Feeva, along with a three course lunch and an exclusive selection of pop-up shops at the Grand Central Hotel on Sunday 3 December.

Commenting on the event, Chief Executive of St. Vincent’s Hospice, Kate Lennon, said: “Every year, our Ladies Lunch sets the tone for Christmas, and I am delighted to say that this year was no different. We had a fantastic turnout for the lunch and raised an incredible £24,000 for our Hospice.”

St. Vincent’s Hospice is a provider of specialist palliative care for individuals and families affected by life limiting illnesses across Renfrewshire. Their team of dedicated staff provide, care, support and guidance in their eight bed In-Patient Unit, their Day Hospice and in people’s own homes. They also offer bereavement care and support for families and young people who have been experienced the loss of a loved one.

Kate added: “Events like this are absolutely essential for allowing us to continue to offer the treatment and care across the community that we do every day. Our Fundraising team worked extremely hard to make sure this event went off without a hitch and I cannot thank them, and everyone who came along enough for making the day as successful as it was.”
