Kelburne Hockey Club has proudly raised £2,500 in support of St Vincent’s Hospice through its annual Summer 6s tournament, a flagship social hockey event that brings together teams from across Scotland for a full day of sport, community spirit, and fundraising.

The event not only showcases the club’s commitment to inclusive and competitive hockey but also highlights its ongoing dedication to supporting local charities. This year’s tournament featured the specially designed Kelburne & St Vincent’s Hospice shirt, which played a key role in raising vital funds thanks to the generosity of members and local business supporters.

Club President Ryan Wood shared his thoughts on the partnership and the success of the event:

“Kelburne are delighted to host our Summer 6s event in support of St Vincent’s Hospice. St Vincent’s holds a special place in the hearts of all members at Kelburne and we look forward to raising awareness and increasing support for our charity partner by hosting a full day of social hockey with teams from across Scotland.

The Summer 6’s event provides an opportunity to showcase our Kelburne & St Vincent’s specially designed shirt, which, thanks to the support of our members and local businesses, has helped to raise £2,500 to support the fantastic work of the Hospice.”

St Vincent’s Hospice would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Kelburne Hockey Club, its members, and everyone who contributed to the organisation and success of this wonderful event. Every effort, every donation, and every moment of support help make a real difference to the lives of patients and families we care for. The funds raised will go directly towards ensuring we can continue to provide compassionate, dignified care and support across Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire.
