The Bungalow crowd will be delighted to welcome back Skaledonia SKA Band. It’s always a bouncing night and it’s free entry. Doors are at 7pm tonight. 

Doors open at 1pm tomorrow afternoon for another free entry gig. Get ready for an afternoon session packed with great songs from Sound Affex who will be playing all the hits from The Jam

Queen Rhapsody (formerly known as Queen II) entertains their audiences performing hits from every decade of Queen’s musical legacy – Queen Rhapsody truly is one of the best Queen tributes around. The band are best known for their accuracy and finer detail of portraying the band’s authentic sound. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

On Sunday afternoon check out the live session with The Petty Officials Covers Band who make a welcome return to return to The Bungalow. This is mainly seated and it is free entry from 1pm.  

The Bungalow Jam kicks off at 7pm on Tuesday. This week’s entertainment includes Music, Games, a Quiz and the usual Open Mic. This is free entry. The Bungalow Wednesday Club starts at 2pm with an afternoon of fun from singer John Griffith of The Bobby Deans Big Band the weekly quiz. 

On Wednesday the PaiSlay drag show and all it’s fun, comedy and music will be happening. Not for the faint hearted. Tickets on the door from 7pm. Thursday night is an Introducing Night featuring The Pergola, Suddenly Found and Serah. Tickets on the door from 7pm. 

Keep Music Live: A Big Week of Gigs at The Bungalow and Beyond

Ronnie T kicks off at The Old Swan from 4pm tonight and following him is a live session at 8pm. Tomorrow there will be a live band at 4pm. The Sunday Soul Club starts at 4pm. There is a new pensioners club on Monday from 2pm. Suzie Graham is the entertainment, and she will be singing all the best Patsy Cline songs for you.  You can hear the amazing voice of Crawford Carlyle singing some of the best ‘singers’ tunes at 5pm on Monday, Lee James on Tuesday at 3pm and every second Thursday at 5.00pm and alternatively sometimes it is Cammy Miller.  Duncan McLellan will be onstage on Wednesday 5pm. 

Greg James is at The Keg tonight from 9pm. Tomorrow night from 9pm it is Lateral Flow. On Thursday you can discover a full line up of new or up and coming talent kicking off at 9pm. 

Graeme J Kerr returns to the stage in Sportsters from 8pm tonight. Graeme’s repertoire is vast and his skill with a loop pedal gives you a full band experience. Kennedys have Big Licks on tonight from 9pm and Overdrive on Sunday from 3pm. On Saturday The Inn on the Corner have Rumours starting at 4pm on Saturday then on Sunday it is Blind Panik who will be onstage from 6pm to belt out some Blues, Boogie and Rock bangers. 

The Venue tonight has a night more spine chilling than Black Sabbath or Alice Cooper. How about a you come along and see what ghosts come out at night in this old building built from 1888. Join paranormal investigator Anne Clark the Medium for a night of thrills and chills. Starts at 9pm. 

I had a pleasant surprise last week when I sauntered into The Anchor at The Abbey. The new Trad Night on Thursdays is well worth a wee visit, bring an instrument and join in or sit back and enjoy the music from Mairead McManus, Katie Boyle, Johnny Canning and whoever turns up on the night and gives you a song. It all kicks off at 8pm. 

The Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
