Fire engines old and new will gather in Johnstone this summer as the popular Fire Engine Rally makes a welcome comeback after a five-year break.
The event kicks off at 11am on Saturday 15 August with a procession departing from Johnstone Fire Station on Kings Road before heading to Houstoun Square for an afternoon of family entertainment.
Between midday and 4pm, visitors can explore a collection of vintage fire appliances, watch Scottish Fire and Rescue Service demonstrations, and enjoy live entertainment from the bandstand. The Johnstone Business Consortium will run an indoor market, while youngsters can get their faces painted free of charge and meet roaming performers.
It's a fantastic opportunity for families to learn about fire safety while soaking up the community atmosphere in the heart of Johnstone.
