A team of dedicated volunteers has been working hard to refresh the nature trail at Jenny's Well, one of Paisley's hidden gems for wildlife watching.
Paul joined members of Friends of Jenny's Well on Sunday to clear overgrown vegetation around the trail's marker posts. This allowed Matthew and Chris to fit new artwork and numbered discs that guide visitors around the reserve.
The numbered markers correspond to different points along the trail, helping people discover the incredible variety of wildlife that calls this compact site home. Despite its relatively small size, Jenny's Well is teeming with life — from frogs and newts to butterflies, robins, bats and even kingfishers, plus countless plant and tree species.
Some of the original marker posts have been standing for around three decades, a testament to their durability. The new discs will be added gradually over the coming weeks, giving the trail a fresh appearance while making it easier for visitors to learn about this special local nature reserve.
