Grants Roofing & Restoration is a Paisley roofer and one of the businesses in the Our Advertisers slider on paisley.org.uk. This time, rather than just listing services, we've looked back through jobs the firm has shared on its Facebook page, from roughcasting in Foxbar and Gallowhill to full re-roofs in Bishopton and Inchinnan.

Where to find them

The business is based on Brown Street in Paisley and works across Renfrewshire and nearby areas. Its Facebook page is its main online presence.

The firm doesn't publish opening hours online, so the best route is to call or message through Facebook. Its current flyer, posted in July 2026, advertises free estimates.

Roughcasting around Paisley

Roughcast work comes up again and again on the page. In one Paisley job from June 2022, the firm says all the loose roughcast on a gable end and base was hacked back to the brick, then finished with a base coat, a top coat and roughcast chips, with new vent covers fitted at the customer's request. The finished gable is the photo at the top of this feature.

Other posts show roughcasting jobs in Foxbar, and new roofline, roughcasting and timber work on a property in Gallowhill (both July 2021). A June 2022 job in Johnstone combined roughcasting with painting the gutters, fascias, soffits, pipes, sills and brickwork.

Re-roofs from Bishopton to Beith

The page also documents several full re-roofs, all posted in June 2022:

  • Bishopton: the roof was stripped back to the sarking and rebuilt with breathable felt, new battens, tiles and verges. The firm says the chimney wasn't safe, so it was taken away.
  • Inchinnan: stripped and re-done with breathable felt, new battens and tiles. The customer also asked for the chimney to be removed and a new Velux window fitted.
  • Beith: all the tiles were stripped, then new plywood, breathable felt, battens and tiles went on.

Another job from the same month involved replacing rotten roof timbers with new ones and touching up a full gable end with black paint.

Cladding and gutters

It's not only roofs. One Paisley job shows new plastic shiplap cladding on a block of flats, where the old cladding was stripped and replaced over exterior plywood and breathable felt, with plastic trims. In Glasgow, the firm fitted new deep-flow gutters to a property whose cast iron gutters were badly worn.

Services on the current flyer

The flyer on the Facebook page lists roofs repaired or renewed, slating, flat roofs, lead valley repairs, gutter and downpipe repairs, uPVC gutters, fascias and soffits, painting of fascias, soffits and downpipes, cement work, roughcasting, and maintenance.

Ahead of the colder months

The firm has used its page before to invite calls for roofing and maintenance work ahead of autumn and winter, and for emergency repairs over the festive period. If you've got a slipped slate, a leaking gutter or blown roughcast you want looked at before the weather turns, it's worth getting in touch for an estimate.
