Demand for O Negative blood is high. To be ready to help patients in all Scottish hospitals, whenever they need it, we aim to stock 6 days’ worth of each blood group at all times.  We expect this high demand to continue and our forecasts are showing that stocks of O Negative blood are set to drop so we really do need you now more than ever to help us build our O Negative blood stocks.

To help we’re asking our O Negative donors to make an extra special effort to book an appointment to donate at one of our sessions next week at PAISLEY, ST MIRIN’S CATHEDRAL PARISH HALL, INCLE STREET, PAISLEY PA1 1HR

There are three sessions running in Paisley next week. The first session on Monday 22nd May has only a small number of appointments remaining. There is however lots of availability on the other two days, Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th May. We are trying to fill these two dates with vital O Negative donors like you. The sessions in Paisley will all run from 13:30-15:30 & 17:00-19:00.

Donating at Paisley is by appointment only.

Your O Negative blood

Your blood group is O Negative, which means you are very special. That’s because O Negative is the only blood type that can be safely given to anyone in an emergency. We really do need your donations more than any other. Hospital demand for O Negative blood is high at the moment and we need to build our blood stock levels to match this.

Contact us

If you can help and would like to book an appointment to donate, call us on 0345 90 90 999 and we can book an appointment at a time that suits you – lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Alternatively, book your appointment online at https://www.scotblood.co.uk/
