Parents and carers of preschool children can find out more about Gaelic Medium Education at an information event in Paisley.
Gaelic Medium Education is where children speak, read and write only in Scottish Gaelic. Children living in Renfrewshire can attend the Gaelic class at West Primary School from Primary 1.
The information event takes place on Tuesday 6 October at 4.30pm at West Primary School, Paisley. There is no need to register — simply turn up.
At the event, families can get an overview of how children learn and what to expect from the head teacher and staff; hear about the benefits of learning through Gaelic from a Bòrd na Gàidhlig representative; get a parent perspective from a Comann nam Pàrant representative; and get information about preschool provision from a Comunn na Gàidheal representative.
Children can be registered for Gaelic Medium Education during P1 registration. Older children cannot start Gaelic Medium Education from an older year group.
