YOUNGSTERS can enjoy their Easter school holidays full of fun and games – thanks to the OneRen Easter Activity Camps taking place throughout Renfrewshire.

The popular camps for school-aged young people will be running every weekday between April 4 and 14 and parents and carers are being urged to book early so their children don’t miss out.

Multi-activity camps for Primary school-aged youngsters are being held at the On-X, in Linwood and Park Mains Sports Complex in Erskine with a variety of sports-themed days and arts and crafts

For the more adventurous young people from Primary Seven up to S6 there is an outdoor multi-activity camp being held at the KGV Pavilion, in Renfrew. These activities include gorge walking, mountain biking, paddle boarding and much more.

For youngsters in Primary school who enjoy their football, a OneRen/Scottish Football Association Football Camp is being held at Park Mains.

Activity sessions for youngsters with additional support needs are also taking place at the Lagoon and On-X. Active Families Disability Sport and Activity Club is a weekly club that offers kids the opportunity to take part in sports activities led by qualified coaches. This club is available to any family with a young person with a disability and/or sensory impairment and siblings are welcome.

All the activities vary in price and to book any of the camps, go to www.oneren.org/sports/easter-activity-camps

Mark Tokeley, OneRen’s Head of Leisure and Community Services, said: “There’s such a variety of activities for young people at our Easter Camps, they’re sure to find something they will enjoy and keep them active during the school holidays.

“Our camps are not only a great opportunity for young people to have fun learning new skills, but it also gives them a chance to meet new friends at the same time.

“Our sports and leisure activities for young people during the school holidays are always very popular, so people should book early to make sure they get a place on the camps for their youngsters.”
