A 22-year-old man has been charged after a hit-and-run in Paisley town centre left two people in hospital.
Police were called to Lawn Street just after 9am on Saturday, 19 September. Emergency services attended, and a 74-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were taken to hospital for treatment. Both were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The male driver left the scene but was traced a short time later and arrested. He has since been charged with a number of road traffic offences and was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, 21 September.
Police said the call came in around 9.10am on Saturday, and that the driver was traced and arrested in connection with the incident.
