Children can learn all about leaves at a free Little Seedlings Club workshop at Dobbies Braehead on Sunday 1 November.
The garden centre's monthly club for youngsters is back for November, and this time it's following leaves through the seasons and the science behind their lifecycle.
Children will find out what plants need for food, why leaves come in so many shapes and sizes, and what makes them change colour as the year turns. They'll also look at leaves from around the world, and learn how fallen leaves feed the soil and give wildlife somewhere to live.
There's a craft side too. Each child will make a paper plate leaf wreath to take home.
Hannah Stephen, Dobbies' Event Programme Manager, said: “Our November Little Seedlings Club is a great chance for children to discover the fascinating world of leaves and how they change through the seasons.
“As well as learning something new, children will be able to get creative by making their own paper plate wreath to take home. We're looking forward to welcoming our little seedlings back in November for another fun-filled session and helping inspire a love of nature.”
How to book
The workshop is free, but families need to book a space. You can do that on the Dobbies events page.
