Attention Guitarists!

The Diane Mitchell School of Music is looking to start an advanced guitar group on Saturday from 1pm – 2pm.

The main objectives of the group will be to play both well-known songs and original material as an ensemble, further develop technical ability and theoretical understanding of the instrument and perform at music school events.

If you are around grade 3/4 or above on electric or acoustic guitar and are interested in applying for this project, please get in touch.

Please provide details of student level and experience and we will get back to you regarding suitability for the group.

Thanks for your time!

The group will be taken by our guitar tutor Drew Leslie.

After first picking up a guitar at the age of 11, Drew has spent over 13 years honing his playing skills and is currently working towards a Postgraduate degree in Music Performance. Drew favours Blues-Rock music and enjoys the heavy riffing of Classic Rock bands such as Led Zeppelin and Guns ’n’ Roses as well as well as modern Blues players such as Jared James Nichols and Josh Smith.

Specialising in Rock and Pop guitar styles, Drew has been teaching guitar for several years to pupils of various ages and abilities ranging from complete beginners to advanced students and is at home on either an electric or acoustic instrument.
