Christine Laverty appointed Chief Officer of Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership

Christine Laverty has been appointed as Chief Officer of Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and will take up post on Monday 25 April. Christine was appointed as Interim Chief Officer in June last year and has expertly led RHSCP through the coronavirus pandemic.

Christine Laverty has been appointed as Chief Officer of Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and will take up post on Monday 25 April. Christine was appointed as Interim Chief Officer in June last year and has expertly led RHSCP through the coronavirus pandemic.

Christine has worked in the health and social care field for thirty years, holding a number of key management roles since 2002.

On accepting the role, Christine said she was fully committed to continuing to focus on the delivery of high quality public services.

She said: “I am delighted to take up this role on a permanent basis and would like to thank everyone in the Renfrewshire HSCP team for their support and encouragement over my period as Interim Chief Officer. It has undoubtedly been a challenging time for everyone, but the teamwork, collaboration and energy of our staff and their commitment to those we support has been exceptional. We are proud of our reputation for excellence. This is a result of the commitment and passion of all our staff and I want to thank them for their continued efforts to provide the very best care for those who need us most.”

Renfrewshire Council Chief Executive, Alan Russell, said: “Christine has led Renfrewshire’s HSCP during an exceptionally difficult time and fully deserves this achievement. I am delighted to formally welcome her to the role and look forward to our continued work together.”

Jane Grant, Chief Executive of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, also welcomed the appointment: “Christine is a great asset to the HSCP team and local community. I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with her in the role of Chief Officer, so that we can continue to provide the very best in health and social care across Renfrewshire.”
