Homebuilder invites designers to create a distinctive new look for its first show homes in the region – with opportunity to work on future developments

St. Modwen Homes is inviting interior designers in Renfrewshire to put their creative stamp on its first show homes in the West of Scotland, as the homebuilder searches for a design partner to help shape its emerging identity in the region.

The successful designer will be appointed to transform two very different family homes at St. Modwen Homes’ new developments in Bellshill and Bargeddie – the four-bedroom Bramgate at Huxley Quarter and the five-bedroom Arness at Everley Park.

Calling Renfrewshire designers! St. Modwen Homes launches search for interior design partner to shape its West of Scotland show homes

The two show homes will be the first of their kind for St. Modwen Homes in the West of Scotland, giving the successful designer the opportunity to establish a fresh, contemporary design language for the brand as it grows its presence across the region.

Rather than creating two identical schemes, St. Modwen Homes is looking for a designer with the creative range to give each home its own personality, while creating a cohesive look and feel that can become associated with the brand.

From hero furniture and feature lighting to wallpaper, colour, window treatments, flooring, artwork and finishing touches, every element of the interiors will be considered. Designers are being encouraged to demonstrate how their ideas can create aspirational, welcoming and relatable homes that prospective buyers can see themselves living in.

And the opportunity extends beyond the initial two show homes. The successful designer will have the opportunity to develop a long-term creative partnership with St. Modwen Homes, with the potential to work across future developments as the homebuilder continues to expand in the West of Scotland.

The successful partner will work collaboratively with St. Modwen Homes’ site and sales teams, balancing creative ambition with the practical and commercial requirements of delivering a show home.

Louise Caldwell, Sales Director at St. Modwen Homes – Scotland West, said:

“We’re at an exciting stage in the growth of St. Modwen Homes in the West of Scotland, and these show homes give us the opportunity to introduce the brand to customers in a meaningful way.

“We want to find a design partner who can bring a strong creative point of view and challenge us with fresh ideas, while understanding what makes a home feel aspirational, welcoming and relevant to the people who will ultimately live in it.

“Importantly, we see this as the start of a relationship rather than a one-off project. The right designer will have the opportunity to help shape the look and feel of our show homes as we continue to grow across the region, so we’re really looking forward to seeing the ideas and creative thinking that come forward.”

The judging panel will comprise Louise Caldwell, Sales Director at St. Modwen Homes – Scotland West; Eileen Kesson, Design Director of Envision; and Kylie Reid, Founder of egg, who is helping to officially launch the search at the egg Women on Top Summit on this Thursday (24 September).

Eileen brings 25 years’ experience of creating show homes and residential interiors, while Kylie brings her property and interior design experience and perspective on the everyday buyer.
