Tucked away on cobbled School Wynd, a few steps from the High Street, Caffe Lusso has been a Paisley fixture since 2002. It’s easy to walk past if you don’t know it’s there, but step inside and it’s surprisingly roomy, with a homely feel and a few outdoor tables for when the sun makes an appearance.
Good news for regulars: after closing earlier this year, Caffe Lusso has reopened under new management. The new team chose to keep the name everyone knows after speaking with James and Claire Buick, who ran it for years, and they’re keeping things simple while they settle in. Expect freshly made coffee, morning rolls, soup, sandwiches and paninis, with more on the menu as they grow.
It’s just the spot for a warming bowl of soup and a proper coffee on a grey Paisley afternoon, or a quick roll on the way to work. Why not pop in, say hello, and help welcome them back?
