Braehead Arena will host international ice hockey next February, with both of Great Britain's national teams playing on home ice at the IIHF European Cup of Nations.
Ice Hockey UK says it's the first time the GB men's and women's teams will play competitive games at the same venue and on the same dates. It's calling the four days a "Festival of Hockey", with fan activities and family fun around the games.
Who's playing
Twelve matches will be played from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 February 2027.
- GB Men face Poland, Romania and Lithuania.
- GB Women take on the Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain.
The men's team played in the same tournament at Murrayfield in Edinburgh last February. Next year's event brings it to the arena that's home to the Paisley Pirates and the Glasgow Clan.
Tickets
Tickets go on sale on Monday 2 November. The full schedule and ticket prices are still to be announced.
Tim Bratton, interim chief executive of Ice Hockey UK, called it "a proud moment for British ice hockey", adding: "To have both our men's and women's national teams competing on home ice, together, for the first time in a competitive environment, is genuinely historic."
Russell Smith, chief executive of Braehead Arena, said hosting both national teams on home ice was "a real honour" and would be the perfect follow-up to the Glasgow Clan's games at the OVO Hydro.
