Shoppers in Renfrewshire won't have to travel far for their candles and body mists this winter. American brand Bath & Body Works is opening its first standalone store in Scotland at Frasers Plus Braehead.

Until now, Scottish fans have only been able to find a selection of its products inside a Next store at Silverburn. The Braehead shop will carry the brand's full range, including its body mists, lotions, candles, hand soaps and gift sets.

The store is due to open at some point this winter. An exact date and any launch celebrations will be announced nearer the time.

"The full brand experience"

Ashley Bisland, centre director at Frasers Plus Braehead, said: "As Bath & Body Works' first standalone store in Scotland, shoppers will now have the opportunity to have the full brand experience in person."

She said the shop would broaden the centre's beauty and lifestyle offer across body care, hand care, home fragrance and gifting, and bring in "an internationally recognised brand that we know will be a welcome addition for regular shoppers and visitors from further afield."

A spokesperson for Bath & Body Works said: "We are so excited to be opening our first standalone Scottish store at Frasers Plus Braehead. We look forward to introducing shoppers to the Bath & Body Works experience and helping them discover their new favourite fragrance, gift or everyday treat."

The brand is known for its signature scents and colourful seasonal collections, so the timing should suit anyone starting their Christmas shopping early. It's the latest new name for the Renfrew centre this year, following White Stuff's arrival this autumn.
