Fans of André Rieu won't have to travel far for a festive night out this year, as his Christmas concert Let It Snow is coming to ODEON Braehead on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December.
Braehead is one of more than 500 cinemas across the UK screening the concert, with selected repeat showings to follow.
A night in the Winter Palace
The concert was filmed in Rieu's Winter Palace in his home town of Maastricht. He's joined by his Johann Strauss Orchestra, sopranos, a 100-strong male voice choir and special guest Emma Kok, in a setting dressed with Christmas trees, chandeliers, falling snow, two ice rinks, skaters and dancers.
The programme mixes seasonal favourites such as Let It Snow, All I Want for Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Jingle Bells and Silent Night with the waltzes and classical pieces Rieu is best known for.
"Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year, and there is nothing I love more than creating this magical celebration with my orchestra and sharing it with audiences around the world," Rieu said. "I hope families and friends will come together, sing along and leave the cinema filled with the joy of Christmas."
Classic FM and Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins also takes cinemagoers behind the scenes, visiting Maastricht's Christmas markets and sitting down with Rieu.
