The St Vincent’s Hospice Audience With Event, took place on International Women’s Day, on Friday 8th March 2024 at The Glynhill Hotel with their partners Legacy Comps and raised an incredible £10,000. The intimate event allowed guests to get up close and personal with Rose Reilly MBE, Ian Durrant, and Peter Grant. Hearing some never before stories and insights into their careers and the football world.

Amongst the guests were families who’s loved ones have been cared for at St Vincent’s Hospice, local businesses and groups such as Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, TOA Cabs, West College Scotland, St Mirren Women & Girls Academy and The Lord Provost Lorraine Cameron, we are so grateful to them all.

The support from Legacy Comps, led by St Mirren legend, Tony Fitzpatrick and the team has been fantastic. Tony Fitzpatrick said “the main objectives of Legacy Comps is to help charities, youth sports clubs and other good causes. It is great to be able to help raise vital funds for such a great cause”.

St Vincent’s Hospice are an affiliated partner with Legacy Comps, which means when you enter a Legacy Comps draw and use code ‘svh01’ at checkout, St Vincent’s Hospice benefit from a fantastic 20% kick back.

Huge thanks to the fantastic host for the evening, Jed McCabe, who ensured everyone had a great night. The hospice would not have been able to raise such a fantastic amount without everyone’s dedication and support. The vital funds that have been raised will go towards helping as many patients and families as possible across Renfrewshire and adjoining North Ayrshire.

St Vincent’s Hospice were kindly supported by Blue Parrot Events Group Ltd, and Decathlon Braehead with their incredibly generous donations of LED centrepieces and footballs to dress the tables.

On the night, support was extended to Kate Cooper and friends at St Mirren Women & Girls Academy by donating the footballs, following a break in to their storage container, where a substantial amount of equipment was stolen, the estimated cost of replacement was £1500 – £2000.

Our Community, Corporate & Events Manager Emma Donald said “The event was fantastic, the stories shared were so insightful and the overall atmosphere on the night was great. We were delighted to raise £10,000 for the hospice and offer our guests a great event and a night to remember on International Women’s Day. The fact that we were able to support our friends at St Mirren Women & Girls Academy by donating the footballs following the devastating break in was an added bonus.

We are privileged to have an incredible support from the families who’s loved ones have been cared for at the hospice, as well as businesses and groups within the local community. We want to be able to continue to be there for the patients and families in Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire when they need us the most and events like this help to contribute to the vital funds that allow us to do so”

Plans are in motion for An Audience With 2025. If you are interested, please contact the fundraising team by emailing us at fundraising@svh.co.uk for updates and future events.
