After the Santa Express has reached its destination at Soar, youngsters head for the Santa and the Snow experience that will bring happy memories for years to come.

As they make their way to Santa’s Workshop, children can dance beside the Penguin Band, watch Santa’s elves making toys, create a special keepsake Christmas decoration they can take home and join Mrs Claus in her kitchen and sample some of her yummy hot chocolate and cookies.

After that, the children will hear Santa tell them a story before giving them a gift and they head off to have an early white Christmas playing on real snow at Snow Factor – that features Scotland’s only indoor real snow mountain.

All the festive fun began this weekend, (Saturday, November 16) and already hundreds of youngsters have enjoyed seeing Santa and having fun on the real snow.

The Santa and the Snow Experience is open every weekend until December 1 then it’s open every day until Christmas Eve.

For youngsters who just can’t wait to see Santa there are Fast Track Sessions where Santa tells them a story, they receive a gift and head for some fun on real snow.

There’s also the chance for children to Dine with Santa, when they sit down to enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner with Father Christmas. And on Sunday, December 1 at 10.20am, there is a Santa and the Snow Quiet Session for children who would prefer a quieter and calmer experience during their visit.

David Lyon, intu Braehead’s marketing manager said: “Travelling on the Santa Express Train is a really exciting way to start the magical journey of children going to see Santa.

“And once we get to the Santa and the Snow experience, youngsters will have a fun-filled time. And no matter what the weather is like outside, they’ll be guaranteed a white Christmas when they’re playing on the real snow.”
