What’s in a Name?
The names Louise chose for her practice reflect her deep Irish heritage and animist beliefs. Seomra simply means “room,” while Immrama translates to “soul voyage.”
“I believe in honoring the ancestors and the old ways,” Louise explains. “For me, therapy is about helping clients navigate their own voyages—whether that’s breaking generational patterns, evolving from toxic environments, or simply exploring the spirit and energy within themselves.”
Rooted in Paisley
While Louise hails from Glasgow’s Southside, her connection to Paisley runs deep. Her maternal grandparents actually met while working in one of Paisley’s famous thread factories. Louise herself earned her Masters in Psychology at UWS and found creative inspiration for her own weaving at Sma’ Shots Cottage.
“I was drawn to the ley lines here,” says Louise. “With such a rich personal and industrial history in the town, choosing Paisley to build my client base was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”
