British Airways expands network with brand-new twice-weekly route from Glasgow Airport to San Sebastián

BA Cityflyer, British Airways’ wholly-owned subsidiary, will launch a new seasonal service operating every Tuesday and Saturday between 18 July to 8 September 2026 offering Scottish travellers the chance to explore one of Spain’s most picturesque coastal cities.

San Sebastián is world-renowned for its stunning beaches, including the famous La Concha, and its vibrant culinary scene, boasting more Michelin-starred restaurants per capita than almost anywhere else in the world.

Visitors can wander through the charming Old Town, sample authentic pintxos in bustling tapas bars, and soak up the city’s rich Basque culture. With its mix of golden sands, elegant architecture, and lively festivals, San Sebastián is the perfect destination for a stylish summer escape.

This new route follows the recent announcement of BA Cityflyer’s weekly summer service from Glasgow to Palma de Mallorca, launching in May 2026, further expanding British Airways’ leisure offering from Scotland.
