Staff and senior leaders were commended for knowing their children well and ensuring children with additional support needs get the support they need at the right time.

Jane Houston, head teacher of Mossvale Primary and ELCC, said: “We are delighted with our very positive inspection report. It captures our school and ELCC perfectly as an inclusive community built on respect, positive relationships, nurture and has high aspirations for all.

“It clearly shows how children are at the heart of everything we do and Pupil Voice in their learning is recognised as good practice to be shared wider.

“The staff team are highly skilled and committed to improving outcomes for every child in our school community and I am so proud to be the head teacher of Mossvale Primary and ELCC.”

Councillor Emma Rodden, convener of Renfrewshire Council’s Education and Children’s Services Policy Board, praised the positive report. She said: “This is a fantastic result for Mossvale Primary and the nursery class. These inspection grades reflect the dedication of staff and the enthusiasm of pupils, who together create a vibrant and supportive learning environment.

“Getting such high grades is testament to the work this school has done to provide the best educational experiences for children. I’m incredibly proud of the team at Mossvale and of the wider success we’re seeing across Renfrewshire’s schools.”

Janie O’Neill, director of Children’s Services for Renfrewshire Council, added: “I am delighted to see such a positive inspection result for Mossvale Primary and Nursery Class.  Mossvale is rightly proud of not only the grades but also the comments made in the report which reflects so positively on the children and the staff team. Well done to the head teacher and all involved.”
