Football, gymnastics, rock climbing and kayaking are just some of the action-packed activities available for young people in Renfrewshire to enjoy this summer.

OneRen’s activity camps will be returning from June 30th, with Active Schools Renfrewshire delivering six weeks of indoor and outdoor activities across the region.

Events over the course of the summer will cater for young people aged from P1 to S6.

Fiona Watson, Sports and Health Services Manager at OneRen, said: “Our exciting, active and affordable camps are a great way to keep children occupied during the summer.

“They’re fantastic, fun-filled environments, keeping children fit, healthy and enjoying each other’s company with events delivered by our terrific team of coaches.”

  • Multi-activity Camps for P1 – S2 pupils at On-X, Linwood, from June 30 until August 8.
  • A Football Camp for P1 – S2 pupils at Park Mains High School, Erskine, from July 7 until August 8.
  • Dance and Gymnastics Camp for P1 – S1. These will be held at On-X in Linwood from June 30 until July 4 and Park Mains High School, Erskine, from July 14 until August 1.
  • A Summer Outdoor Programme for P7 to S6 pupils. These will run at various venues and – depending on the weather – will feature gorge walking, rock climbing, paddlesports, abseiling, biking and bushcraft.

Full details about the programme and how to book are available at www.oneren.org/sport/kids-summer-series.

Discounts are available for additional children and families on income support.

Activities will not run on the August 4th public holiday.
