Crowds celebrate the summer at Barshaw Gala Day

Thousands turned out to celebrate summer at Barshaw Park on Saturday for Barshaw Gala Day.

Thousands turned out to celebrate summer at Barshaw Park on Saturday for Barshaw Gala Day.

Local musicians, dancers and walkabout acts wowed crowds throughout the day and there was plenty to keep the kids busy with football, OneRen’s Skoobmobile and arts and crafts activities taking place in the park.

Children ride a colorful fire truck-themed carousel at an amusement park, accompanied by adults nearby. The ride features red flames, American flag motifs, and a reindeer figure at the front.

There were a variety of stalls and food vendors on site, and the funfair and inflatables ensured there was something on offer for all ages.

The ever-popular ride-on-train was also running throughout the day and the model boating competition on the refurbished pond provided a spectacular scene.

The next event in Renfrewshire is Sma’ Shot Day, taking place on Saturday 5 July.
