Renfrewshire Council is seeking the views of residents on what they want from bus services in the area.

The Renfrewshire bus network survey will help identify gaps in provision and the barriers people may experience in using public transport.

It is part of a wider review on public transport and feedback from residents will help shape recommendations on improving services.

All responses are confidential and will remain anonymous.

People who currently use bus services will be asked about their experiences and what improvements they would like to see.

People who don’t currently use bus services are also encouraged to complete the survey and share their views on bus travel.

The online survey is available at www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/bus-survey and is open until Friday 10 November.

There are also drop-in sessions where people can talk to the team about bus services.

Infrastructure, Land and Environment Convener, Councillor Michelle Campbell, said: “Bus services are an essential part of a community, helping people get to work, to visit friends and family, and for shopping and leisure. It’s also important that we improve bus services and shape them in a way that supports people as part of our commitment to reducing the impact of climate change.

“We want to hear from all residents, whether you use bus services or don’t, to find out how we can shape future provision of services in the area and work together with bus companies to make that happen.”

The survey is conducted by independent transport specialists Systra Ltd on behalf of the council.
