GOALIE cow! Glasgow Clan netminder Euan Simpson comes face to face with his most unusual opponent yet.

Euan and the Highland cow began steer-ing each other out during the photoshoot for the official Glasgow Clan 2023 Calendar.

And in a nod to the Clan’s popular mascot, Clangus, the ice hockey stars from the team were all being pictured with Highland cows, at a farm in Lanarkshire.

The calendar goes on sale from the merchandise stall at the next Clan home game against Guildford Flames, at Braehead Arena, on Friday, December 9 and also on the club’s online store at shop.clan.com for only £15.

It features 12 individual photographs with players with a real-life Clangus and a group shot on the cover.

Gareth Chalmers managing director at Braehead Arena said: “We thought we’d do a set of photographs for every month of the year that were a bit different.

“And since Clangus is everyone’s favourite Highland cow, it was natural that we should get the players out of the rink and into a field full of Clangus’s cousins for this year’s calendar photoshoot.

“The calendars have now arrived in from the printers and we’ve no doubt the fans will love the photographs.”
