Until now, there are many kinds of image formats. The addition of images is very important to attract the attention of visitors. Not only that, the use of the right images makes it easier for us and visitors to find out what information is offered. By using only pictures, generally it is enough to convey information without having to use a lot of words.

Well, as well as making a website, an image greatly affects the quality of the web. If the selection of images used is bad, visitors will not feel at home, and vice versa. This is where the role of image formats is very important. One of the popular image formats is JPEG.

JPEG or the abbreviation of Joint Photographic Expert Group is a standard image format that is often used on websites. When you search for images on Google, for example, you will find many images that use the JPEG format as the standard format. This image format has a Lossy type. That is, you can compress images with various resolutions without reducing the quality of the image. For example, you want to compress an image from 100 percent to 50 percent only, then the image resolution will be smaller than the original image. Even so, the image quality has not changed significantly.

As stated above, this JPEG image format is the most standard image format used on websites. This is because the JPEG image format has many advantages that can help users maximize the use of images on the website.

JPEG is a widely used file format for images and graphics. Depending on the different users who handle them or the errors that the system has, the JPEG files can be corrupted. When trying to open a corrupt JPEG file, you may receive an error message indicating that the file is corrupt or the image may appear distorted. Either way, you can fix it by following some troubleshooting steps.

Step 1

Right click on the corrupt JPEG file and select the “Rename” option.

Step 2

Type a name for the file, but make sure it still retains the JPEG file extension. Press the “Enter” key once you’ve entered the file name. Try to open the file. In some cases, this simple step will solve the problem. If not, go to step 3.

Step 3

Install a JPEG recovery program. By searching online, you can find several free programs or trial versions that can repair corrupt JPEG files.

Step 4

Run the program.

Step 5

Follow the on-screen instructions to locate the corrupt JPEG file, and then repair the file. You will be asked to specify a “destination folder”, where the program will save the repaired file. Select a safe location on your hard drive and follow the rest of the instructions to complete the task.

Want a more practical way? You can use this JPEG Repair Software. For us, this software is the best, at least so far.
