PIRATES HONOURED

Paisley Pirates will be honoured tonight (Friday) when they attend a civic reception hosted by Lord Provost Anne Hall to commemorate their 70th birthday this year, and their recent Scottish Cup triumph when they beat Edinburgh Capitals 9-0 to lift the trophy. Provost Hall said, “I’m delighted the Paisley Pirates have become Scottish champions. It is a terrific achievement to win a national trophy and it is only right that they are rewarded for this feat.
