Paisley-based company puts innovative Scottish twist on cooking sauces

When you think of Scottish food and drink, whisky and haggis probably come to mind. But an innovative company is shaking up the world of cooking sauces using another Scottish staple —iron brew. The uniquely-flavoured sauce comes in original and hot varieties from Paisley-based company Necessaucery, and will be on offer as part of Loch Lomond Food & Drink Festival at Loch Lomond Shores on Saturday 3^rdand Sunday 4^th September.

Stuart Williams, Marketing Assistant at Loch Lomond Shores, said: “This is Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design, and we’re proud to have a number of innovative Scottish food and drink businesses attending this year’s event. We hope visitors will be inspired by the different products and cooking techniques showcased at the festival. Personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on some of Necessaucery’s Hot Iron Brew Sauce.”

Loch Lomond Food & Drink Festival is one of the largest free food and drink festivals in the country. 2016’s festival takes place on 3rd and 4th September at the majestic Loch Lomond Shores. A huge array of entertainment, music and (of course) a wide selection of food and drink from all corners of the country and beyond will be on offer.

The festival is also part of the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design in 2016, which will shine a spotlight on Scotland’s achievements in innovation, architecture and design through a wide-ranging variety of new and existing activity designed for locals and visitors to Scotland to discover and enjoy. The festival celebrates innovation in cooking techniques and is embracing digital technology to film and stream many of the activities on offer through social media channels over the weekend.

The Loch Lomond Food & Drink Festival takes place at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch on Saturday 3^rd and Sunday 4^th September.
