There's a brilliant run of gigs across Paisley's venues this week, with everything from country tributes and 80s synth-pop legends to soul afternoons and open mic nights. Here's your full rundown.

The Bungalow

Tonight kicks off with Nicole Flynn from Stradbally, Ireland, performing two shows paying tribute to Dolly Parton and Shania Twain — two of the absolute giants of the music business. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Saturday afternoon brings the ever-popular One in Ten with a set of classic UB40 songs. Doors open at 1pm and it's free entry.

Saturday night sees China Crisis return to The Bungalow. The Merseyside new wave and synth-pop legends, formed in Kirkby in 1979 around Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon, racked up ten UK top-50 singles in the 80s, including the top-10 hit "Wishful Thinking", along with gold-certified albums Working with Fire and Steel and Flaunt the Imperfection. Their last show at The Bungalow was superb — don't miss this one. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Sunday launches the new MonthOfSundays afternoon series with Kirsten Adamson and The Tanagers. The award-winning singer-songwriter — and daughter of rock legend Stuart Adamson (Big Country, Skids) — channels the heart-stopping purity of Sandy Denny by way of Emmylou Harris and Kate Bush, with a gorgeous mix of heartland Americana folk rock. Tickets on the door from 1pm.

Sunday night is Dean Owens and the Sinners. Expect a joyous mix of songs and stories drawn from Dean's 12-album career and a life on the road. It's a glorious, brass-infused sound with electric guitar, trumpet and double bass, topped off by Dean's searingly soulful voice — a thrilling blend of Scottish roots, Americana and desert noir. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Tuesday is The Bungalow Jam from 7pm — music, games, a quiz and the usual open mic. Free entry.

Wednesday's Bungalow Wednesday Club starts at 2pm with singer John Griffith of The Bobby Deans Big Band, plus the weekly quiz.

Thursday's Introducing Night features Junior VP and Hippo from 7pm. Tickets on the door.

The Old Swan

Ronnie T opens up tonight from 4pm, followed by The Splendid Gentlemen — they don't play Paisley often so it's great to have them back.

Saturday brings Full Hog at 4pm.

Sunday has The Sunday Soul Club from 4pm.

Monday features Suzie Grahan's Patsy Cline show from 2pm, followed by Crawford Carlyle at 5pm.

Tuesday sees Lee James at 3pm — and every second Thursday at 5pm, alternating with Cammy Miller.

Wednesday at 5pm, Duncan McLellan is on with a set of crowd favourites.

The Keg

Mike Edwards is on tonight, and Saturday night from 9pm it's Axe Attack. Thursday is a showcase of new and up-and-coming talent from 9pm.

Sportsters

Graeme Kerr plays tonight from 8pm, and Sunday brings a live session from 6pm. Check the venue for details.

Kennedys

Sad Ida are in tonight from 9pm. Sunday sees Screaming Velvet from 3pm.
