Gym reopens after significant investment including improvement in cardio and strength equipment
The fitness suite at Paisley’s Lagoon Leisure Centre has reopened following a £275,000 upgrade.
Operator OneRen has unveiled a raft of improvements at the venue in what is a major boost to health and wellbeing facilities in the town.

Members are now able to benefit from brand new Life Fitness cardio and strength equipment, as well as an upgraded free weights area and immersive lighting.
A new virtual Wexer suite has also been installed, with the digital platform offering a range of virtual classes led by global experts, as well as an EGYM Fitness Hub, helping people to access personalised workouts and track their progress.

Other improvements include the full redecoration of the fitness suite, as well as the installation of new floors and immersive LED lighting.
Councillor Lisa-Marie Hughes, Chair of OneRen, said: “This is a significant investment in our gym facilities at Lagoon Leisure Centre - one that we are delighted to unveil.
“By giving our members access to the best facilities, we are helping them to achieve their personal health and fitness goals as we work hard to improve wellbeing across Renfrewshire.

“This modern, high-quality environment not only looks brilliant, but opens more accessible, affordable opportunities for people to access the latest fitness technology and all of the benefits that brings.”
The Lagoon Leisure Centre gym was closed for a fortnight while the improvement works took place. All other facilities at the centre remained open throughout.

Its upgrade is the latest in an ongoing investment programme by OneRen, which has also included a recent major refurbishment at ON-X, Linwood.
OneRen gym memberships include access to all OneRen leisure clubs across Renfrewshire.
